Experienced Arborist

Matthews Tree Removal is growing, and we're looking for an experienced ISA Certified Arborist to join our professional team. If you're passionate about arboriculture, thrive in challenging environments, and take pride in delivering exceptional work safely and efficiently, we'd love to hear from you.

 

This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work alongside an experienced crew using modern equipment on a wide variety of residential and commercial tree care projects.

What You'll Do

​

  • Perform technical tree removals and pruning operations

  • Complete complex climbing and rigging work safely and efficiently

  • Operate elevated work platforms (bucket trucks)

  • Participate in crane-assisted tree removals

  • Lead and mentor crew members on-site

  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

  • Care for equipment and ensure job sites are left clean and professional

Qualifications

​

We're looking for someone who has:

​

  • ISA Certified Arborist designation

  • Extensive experience as a climbing arborist

  • Proven experience operating elevated work platforms (bucket trucks)

  • Experience with crane-assisted tree removals

  • Advanced knowledge of rigging techniques

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • A self-motivated, positive work ethic

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • A commitment to working safely every day

Crew Leader

  • Looking for an experienced and licensed arborist, ISA certification will be an asset.

  • Experienced in climbing, working out of elevated work platforms and cranes. Competent at rigging and roping techniques.

  • Self motivated, past leadership roles of running crews is an asset.

  • Ability to manage people, follow safe work practices, detail oriented.

  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment

  • Team oriented 

  • Good time management skills to hit project target deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions
